Kick it off right
Are you ready for some football? Once you have decided to throw a Super Bowl party, the first step to kick it off is to set a party budget. Parties can be planned on a variety of budgets. You might choose to purchase all party supplies and hire a caterer or decide to make your own decorations and snacks. Once you’ve determined what you can spend, it is time to book your Super Bowl party entertainment and purchase your decorations.
Touchdown!
On game day, the game and its outlandish commercials will often serve as the primary entertainment for your Super Bowl party. The bigger the TV, the better is it to experience the game’s excitement. If you live in warmer climates and are hosting a barbeque or tailgate party in the backyard, we recommend renting an inflatable movie screen to bring the Super Bowl to life in your backyard. Also, many hosts will choose to have guests over for a pre- and/or post-game party. Consider hiring a cover band, party band, top 40 band, or tribute band to get the party started. Hiring an event DJ is also a great idea to play all of your guests’ favorites.
Providing your guests with scrumptious food and snacks is guaranteed to get you the MVP award. Many Super Bowl parties serve snacks like chips and salsa, crackers and cheese balls, Buffalo wings, pizza, chili, nachos, cocktail weenies, and beer. However, if you’re really looking to ‘wow’ your guests, consider hiring a caterer to expand your menu and add some of their own specialties, or hire a cake designer to create a one-of-a-kind Super Bowl cake for your party. If you plan to serve alcohol at your Super Bowl party, add some extra entertainment by hiring a flair bartender to serve tasty mixed drinks to your guests while entertaining them with juggling, flipping, and magic tricks.
Really get into the game by decorating your home or venue with Super Bowl party décor. You can decorate with decorations of your favorite Super Bowl team or decorate with décor from your favorite team even if they’re not at the big game. A fun idea might also be to have an imaginary line between opposing fans and have the room decorations split accordingly. If you want neutral party décor, make your room into a field. Add green felt to the floor to make a field and decorate with footballs, jerseys, and helmets. Add a little extra fun by having noisemakers or “bad call bricks” for your guests. Consider placing small game bets on the first touchdown, winner of the coin flip, MVP, etc. to get everyone really into the game.
